SBL Toolbox · Free MCP server

Turn your business idea into a product brief, inside Claude or ChatGPT.

Add one link to your AI assistant and describe your idea. You get a clear brief, an MVP plan, design and SEO guidance, build prompts, a testing checklist and the project files for the platform you build on.

A sentence or two is enough. Who is it for and what problem does it solve?

Add the server to your assistant first (steps below). Your idea stays in your browser until you open your assistant.

Step 1

Copy the server URL

Then try asking

  • “Turn my idea into a product brief.”
  • “What should my MVP include?”
  • “Suggest brand colours and modern, simple logo ideas.”
  • “Give me the project files for Lovable.”
  • “Give me a testing checklist for my prototype.”
  • “Give me the whole brief as a Markdown file.”

Free, with no sign-up. Your assistant only asks the server for guidance; your idea and your chat are not sent to us or stored.

Step 2

Add it to your assistant

In Claude

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Product Brief Generator and paste the URL.
  4. Click Add, then turn it on from the tools menu in a chat.

In ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps and Connectors, then Advanced, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Create a new connector.
  3. Name it Product Brief Generator, paste the URL and choose No authentication.
  4. Confirm, then turn it on from the chat composer.

Using another assistant? Any app that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP can use the same URL.

01 · How it works

A product team’s playbook, in your assistant

Product Brief Generator gives your assistant the questions, templates and rules a product team would use. Your assistant asks about your idea, then writes each part with you.

  1. Describe your idea. Your assistant asks a few questions at a time about the problem, who it is for and how they manage today.
  2. Get the brief. Problem, target user, value, success measures, scope and risks, with anything unproven marked as an assumption to check.
  3. Plan and design it. An MVP feature list, user journeys and numbered requirements, then brand colours, logo ideas, a design system, accessibility, mobile and SEO guidance.
  4. Start building. Build prompts and project files for Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Claude Code, Cursor and more, a testing checklist, and the whole thing as one Markdown file.

03 · Example

What it looks like

A fictional idea: card payments for independent dog walkers. These are short excerpts, not the full outputs.

Product brief

Problem: independent dog walkers lose around 3 hours a week chasing payments by text and bank transfer.
Target user: solo dog walkers in UK cities with 10 to 30 regular clients.
Value: clients pay by card when a walk is booked, so walkers never chase money again.
Success: 20 paying walkers within 3 months; 80% of bookings paid in the app.

MVP features

Must: book a walk, pay by card at booking, walker's list of upcoming walks.
Should: automatic reminders (send by hand at first).
Later: team accounts, route tracking.
Cut: mobile app, because the web app works on phones for now.

Core journey: client books a walk

1. Client opens the walker's booking link → sees free slots this week.
2. Picks Tuesday 10am → sees the price and a card form.
3. Pays → sees "Booked" and gets a confirmation email.
Success moment: the walker sees a paid booking with no messages sent.
Error state: card declined → clear message and the slot is held for 10 minutes.

Requirements

R1 [Must] Clients can book a walk by choosing a date and time.
  - Given a free slot, when the client confirms, the booking is saved and shown in the walker's list.
  - Booked slots cannot be selected again.
R2 [Must] Payment is taken at booking by card (Stripe, test mode first).

Build prompt 1 (Lovable)

Build the foundation for WalkPay, a booking and payments app for solo dog walkers. Create a public booking page, a walker dashboard and a settings page. Use a calm, light style with green #15803D and rounded cards. Set up a booking with fields: client name, dog name, date, time, price. Do not add sign-in or payments yet.

Testing checklist

| R1 Book a walk | Pick a free slot, confirm | Booking saved, slot unavailable | Pass |
| R2 Card payment | Pay with a Stripe test card | Booking marked paid | Fail: no email sent |
User test: 5 walkers, 3 tasks each. Don't help them.
Mobile: check the booking form at 320px.

04 · Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way to give AI assistants extra tools. Once you add the URL, your assistant can use Product Brief Generator’s questions, templates and rules whenever you ask it to work on a brief.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no charge and no sign-up. You need a Claude or ChatGPT plan that lets you add custom connectors.

Do you see my idea?

No. The idea box on this page only builds a prompt in your browser. Your assistant only asks our server for guidance, such as a template or a list of questions. Your idea, your answers and your chat stay with your assistant and are not sent to us or stored.

Which platforms does it make files for?

Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and GitHub Copilot, plus a handover pack for website builders such as Webflow, Framer and WordPress. Each gets a PRD and the instructions file that platform reads, such as CLAUDE.md, a Cursor rules file or Lovable project knowledge.

Is the brief always right?

Your assistant writes the brief, so check it against what you know about your users and market. It is told to mark anything unproven as an assumption, and those are the things to test first.

How is this different from the Project Brief Generator?

The Project Brief Generator is a form on this site that makes a PDF brief, with no AI involved. Product Brief Generator works inside your AI assistant and goes further: MVP features, journeys, requirements, design guidance, build prompts, testing and project files.

Can you build it for me?

Yes. Send us your brief and we will tell you honestly whether a prototype is the right next step. Send your brief.
